The reading
went pretty well but slow, was occasionally reading the 50 pages in parts than
throughout like last times, maybe because the winter is approaching(?). Learned
that there are actually real people that live in the Sahara desert and partly
know how they survive there.
The most
important moment in the book, I believe is when the main character meets an
Englishman on a caravan that’s going through the Sahara desert. Because I read
that the Englishman is searching for a formula that shows how to make gold out
of anything, and the main character was searching for a treasure, so they have
both an important goal in common. I understood that they became quite close friends
in this part of the book. So it feels like they will be together for a while or
split up and re-unite at the end, you never know before, but that the meeting
and their friendship was and was a key moment in the book, it´s for sure.
